Directions by car:
Turn left onto the A338 at a roundabout. Once in Bournemouth follow signs for Sandbanks. This takes you through a residential area and then to Poole Harbour. Turn left at Poole Harbour and follow signs for Sandbanks and the ferry (basically straight on). Take the ferry across the mouth of Poole Harbour to Studland. Drive past Studland Beach, through Studland village and after Studland village turn left to Swanage. At the mini roundabout, turn left for Swanage. On entering Swanage, keep straight on, or in the summer follow diversion signs (the road by the beach is closed). Once you reach the main shopping road, follow the one way system round to the right as if you were heading out of town again, along the High Street.
After the shops have stopped, you will see Church Hill on your right, by the war memorial cross. It is steep and one way! The Arc is about 20m down on the right. Parking is opposite or by the mill pond. |
Follow
signs for Bournemouth. At the end of the M27 carry straight on on
the A31.
